We all have that basic knowledge of our health, where we know that our body requires a certain amount of vitamins and minerals to be able to get through the day at optimum function. We put our bodies through a lot, and the least we can do is put good things into them, to make sure they have the energy to carry through all of the torture that we put them through on a daily basis, don’t you think? This can be done by having at least five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables each and every day, and unfortunately that is a lot easier said than done.

That is a lot easier said than done, unless of course you have managed to master the art of juicing for health. While we don’t always have the time or the room in our stomachs to consume five to nine daily servings (or more) of a fresh fruit and/or a vegetable, juicing is another way that we can go about getting in those essential minerals.

Of course, before you can start juicing for health you are going to have to invest in a good juicer and some nice, fresh fruits and vegetables of the earth. In theory, a pound of produce can create a full cup of juice, and depending on the juicer you have and whether or not you enjoy pulp there may be a little more or a little less than that.

As far as what to juice, the possibilities are endless. Whatever you wish you could get more of into your diet is a good idea to put into the juicer. Of course, your end product won’t always taste the best, especially at first, but eventually you will learn what flavors work best with what flavors, and the juicing process is always a lot more pleasurable and easy to go along with when the juice is enjoyable and tasty.  Even the best diet plans have some trial and error before you find the best combinations.

The thing about juicing for health is that you can incorporate so many different kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables into a juice if you have a good juicing machine, and that is one of the things. Nine daily servings of vegetables is a lot, but not if you can get in you whole daily allowance just by drinking it up. Although you might have to go to the bathroom a bit more often during the day, drinking juice made at home with fresh fruits and vegetables is a great way to get in your daily serving of these things while helping to steer clear of sodas and sugar filled juices that do more harm than good anyway.

If you are having a hard time getting into juicing, give it some time. Eventually your body will get used to the frequent intakes of juice and regulate your schedule along with it, and you will surely notice a huge boost in energy and productivity if you haven’t already. Juicing is not for everyone, but if you have a problem getting in your daily recommended amounts of fruits and veggies, which are important for the functional development of so many critical bodily processes you should at least give juicing a try. If you don’t like it, you won’t have lost anything except a few unwanted pounds and a bit of time.
